Getting Started
Install the app, navigate the interface, and start editing in under a minute.
Installation
Structa is a Shopify Admin app embedded directly inside your Shopify admin dashboard. To install:
- Install the app from the Shopify App Store (or through your Shopify Partner dashboard if you are a developer).
- Authorize the app to access your store's metaobject data.
- The app will guide you through a one-time setup process.
Accessing the App
Once installed, find Structa in your Shopify admin sidebar under Apps and sales channels. Click the app name to open it. Because the app is embedded, it opens directly in the admin without leaving Shopify.
No configuration or setup is required beyond authorizing the app. Structa reads your existing metaobject definitions automatically.
The Welcome Page
When you install Structa for the first time, you will see the Welcome page. This page appears only once.
What You Will See
The Welcome page introduces you to the app with:
- Feature cards explaining what the app does:
- How it works — bulk edit in a spreadsheet-like interface
- Browse types — view all metaobject definitions
- Edit entries — support for 30+ field types
- Batch operations — save all your changes in a single click
- Privacy notice explaining GDPR and CCPA compliance, with links to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Notice.
Getting Past the Welcome Page
Click the Get Started button at the bottom right. You will accept the privacy policy and be taken to the app's homepage.
Homepage Overview
The Homepage is the main hub of the app. It is the first page you see after the welcome screen and can be accessed anytime by clicking Home in the app's navigation.
Hero Section
The top of the homepage displays quick stats (supported field types, zero-setup badge) and two call-to-action buttons:
- Get Started — scrolls down to the metaobject definitions table.
- Open Editor Directly — takes you straight to the bulk editor page.
A dismissible info banner explains what metaobjects are, with a link to Shopify's documentation.
Quick Start Guide
A 3-step checklist helps new users get oriented:
- Choose a metaobject type to edit — includes a "Browse Types" button to jump to the definitions table.
- Open the bulk editor and make your first edit — links to the bulk editor page.
- Save all your changes at once — with a link to learn more.
You can collapse this guide, and your progress is saved locally.
